Born into a family of renowned scientists, Jay was taught early on that the scientific method was far more powerful than any religious faith, one that would require work and effort to prove itself. He showed early on a mind that was sharp and observed rather than acted wildly, noting how people who were way smarter than him always seemed to make 'human' errors rather than analyze the situation. This viewpoint continued on throughout his years of study and becoming a doctorate in genetic engineering and medical biology, two fields that allowed him to live very comfortably when he was able to make it home.
He found certain genomes and techniques that would improve humanities condition very much, and decided to test them on himself. He found that his strength was enhanced considerably, and that his lifespan should be many times an average persons, letting him plan out how he could steer the course of humanity. Unfortunately for him, footage of his experiments was leaked, and a defense company offered him a fortune in return for the future and current patenting of his work. He said no and was told that he would regret that decision.
He found that his fundeing quickly pulled out and soon his entire lab had been suddenly involved with a terrorism group "scandal". Furiously working through the many shell companies and countless sophisticated computer networks the corporation possessed, his years of searching brought him to a para-military organization called the "Red Ribbon Army" it appeared they were a ruthless military corporation dead set on being the best in the world no matter the cost, monetary or human.
Slowly infiltrating the organization through its more criminal arms, Jay quickly learned to fight and use his superior physical and mental state to stay in control, bringing fear and apprehension to those who knew his face, for they feared his methodical approach to not just fighting, but any method that would further his goal of getting inside the RRA. He developed a fighting style that was iterative and focused on grievous injury or outright killing, though he hasn't had to take anyone's life as of yet.

[STREET STYLE COMBAT] While not an official "Martial Art", His fighting style has been honed from decades of living on the streets and having to deal with the more shady citizenry. This has forced him to improvise and pull from various sources, this has formed a style that is brutal, quick, and very accurately aims for common weak spots on the human body.

Orb
A basic orb of white-hot energy forms in his hand before he faces his palm towards its target, firing the orb which will explode violently at whatever it hits.
Magic Knife
Infusing his knife with electricity, he quickly goes into a knife-fighting stance, using the energy infused weapon to extend its range.

Curbstomp Combo
This is a counter-attack technique that involves redirecting the attackers movement before binding their arm in a joint lock, sweeping a low kick to destroy their balance, and then attempting to break said arm after they hit the ground.

POWER LEVEL GOES HERE
Well there was no doubt about it now. They were stranded on a planet near the edge of the galaxy with nothing, only his combat uniform, a black skin suit with orange accenting on the forearms for rank was all that he had left. The climate of this particular place was odd, it was more than cold. A howling tempest with a bite would be a more appropriate description for the winds streaming off of Mt. Frappe.
The alien warrior wasn’t affected much by weather, but the presence of the area gave off an aura of malevolence, as if he wasn’t welcomed by the flora and fauna itself. Visibility was extremely poor due to this gale blowing walls of snow so thick as to render his enhanced senses nearly moot. “Shelter, need shelter.” Currently the only thought running through his mind as he roamed for what seemed like hours before finding a quiet large cave close to the face of the mountain.
He climbed in and found it to be surprisingly warm inside, so much so that the entrance had a door made of mist from the outside wind touching the inside air. Taking a few deep breaths to regain his bearing, Vanaf realized he wasn’t alone without even having to turn around, he could hear the slow, powerful heartbeat of something behind him, something that was asleep but now stirring around, disturbed by something temporarily blocking the warm air.
“Hey I know I promised I wasn’t gonna say much, but isn’t this the part where we get out of here?” Ann was speaking inside his head with an almost worried tone. Ann was the name he had decided to give the name of the voice in his head because it was always pointing out obvious situations or solutions, something he found annoying, hence Ann. The creature before them was large, almost as tall as he was and just as massive, but in his weakened state he felt a thrill of danger emanating from it.
“Slowly” Carefully, silently stepping out of the cave, his only forewarning was the sound of claws pushing into the earth as the furry creature lunged at him. He only had enough time to sidestep, “I found some weird network of comms in this planet and got access, according to the humans, this creature is called bear, and it appears we’ve got a quite big one.” Vanaf clenched his teeth as the AI once again chimed in at the inopportune moment, spouting useless information. This… Bear was a target that now had to be destroyed.
The bear was currently sliding on his front paws, changing direction since his initial lunge had failed. He decided to swipe at the strange humans neck instead, that had always worked to kill before. Vanaf dodged at the last possible second, the AI reviewing the motion briefly as it triggered his shoulder spikes to sharpen some, catching the bears claws, but also transferring the full brunt of its attack at an odd angle as the alien warrior spun around from the momentum, slamming himself and the bear in the cave wall with a huge thud.
“If you’re going to automatically use my limbs, please do so in a way that actually matters!” He yelled it out loud as he pulled the now severed front paw of the bear off of him. He then took a combative stance, one like a boxers as he threw a right cross punch straight to the temple of the screaming creature. Since the weight and height difference wasn’t nearly as large as if he was engaging a human, the blow met its temple with devastating force, stunning it for a few seconds as the alien twisted right and up, nearly scraping his knuckles on the ground with a huge uppercut.
His fist glowed eerily right before impact as his body reflexively input a small amount of ki into the attack, forcing the bears head to snap back violently, shattering its jaw and part of its skull as it fell to the ground with a final “thud”
He didn’t even have time to celebrate as a massive roar shook the entire mountain, causing the cave to start to crack around him. Sprinting into a jump, Vanaf jumped out the cave off a nearly sheer cliff, using his ki to stabilize the landing. He didn’t have to look very far to see the cause of the near deafening roar. This time another “bear” had appeared except it was pure white with blazing red eyes and blood smeared around its maw.
It was currently charging at him with great speed, speed greater than his AI that was possible for this species as it rammed Vanaf in the torso, nearly breaking his back and elbow. “GAAAHHH!!!” The alien would’ve been catapulted off the mountain if it weren’t for his ability to hover. The bear however didn’t seem to care and was still accelerating at him, lunging off the side of the mountain before biting onto the alien’s leg.
“I’m cutting off your sense of pain, we need to live. Use your power, your TRUE POWER!!” Special cells in his body started to glow before his body went into overdrive. His body shrunk slightly as the spikes on the back of his shoulders were starting to grow longer.
He could feel that the power flowing through his body was only temporary as he landed on his good leg nearly half a mile from where had fell off the mountain. The ground cratered some from the impact and he could see the white bloodied fur of the creature next time, its neck smashed from the impact with the ground.
His armor was cracked and he could now truly feel the full brunt of it and the exhaustion of his efforts, with one last push he flew back into the cave and used some of his energy to start a small fire, cooking the carcass of both the bears as sustenance. “This place is crazy!” He had never felt this feeling before, the feeling of almost dying, it was strangely exhilarating.
