Hey there! I'm going to lay down some of the ground rules for you guys so nobody gets it twisted. We're all familiar with the way these things work, but for the sake of everybody, I'm going to spell out how shit works around here.
1. Be good.
This means treating your fellow players with respect. Nobody minds goofing off or being young but insulting people and starting flame wars over IC stuff will get you thrown out. End of.
2. What happens IC stays IC.
A legitimate, adult debate is one thing. Disputes and arguments are another. Causing drama in the Cbox or general board will cause staff to get involved and warnings will be handed out. Bullying won't be tolerated and if you feel you're being attacked, contact a staff member immediately.
3. Writing Competency.
This means grammar, spelling and all the rest of it being used to the best of your ability at all times. All we ask for is clarity and understandability. If you're a novice to RPing or unsure of how things work, don't hesitate to ask questions and look to other people's posts as an example of how its done. We'll take anyone from beginner to veteran, we just want to make sure we can understand you.
4. Character application and registering.
There are no word limits on the application process, the only thing we need to see is a good, fairly believable (this is a DB/Z Universe for Christs sake), History and a quality RP sample. It doesn't have to be the best, but both of these things will not only determine if you are accepted, but also your starting Power Level, so bare that in mind when applying.
B) NPC's.
5. Character Limit.
Here we have a limit of 4 Characters per player. If anyone would like a 5th character they must contact staff and we can negotiate the terms and conditions for such a thing. There are however, limitations to when you can access having extra characters.
6. Profanity, sex and all that kind of junk.
7. Posting.
Because this is a combat based RPG, there should be a posting order when in open threads or with more than 2 players. Posting order is decided by the highest Power Level and works down, with the highest going first. There is no limit to the amount of players in a thread but it is advised to keep it below 10 if it is to go smoothly. If a player doesn't post within 2-3 days, it can be decided between players to either skip that person's turn, contact them or vote to wait until their return, etc. This kind of thing should be decided in the OOC plotting threads.
OST (Open Sparring thread)
CST (Closed Sparring Thread)
STT (Solo Training Thread)
CTTT (Created Technique training thread)
OT (Open Thread)
CT (Closed Thread)
QT (Quest Thread)
A) Tags.
When creating a thread, the first post must be tagged with the current IC date and time using the following format: HOUR/DAY/MONTH. For quick reference, the time can be found displayed at the top of every page in the Updates section. You may not skip forward in time under any circumstances, but small jumps into the past are allowed providing they don't contradict current events. In addition, your characters can be in as many threads as you like as long as none share the exact time stamp/there are no overlaps.
Note: PL gains and Ki/Physical techniques only come into effect once a thread is completed, and only come into effect in newly begun threads. So in other words, if you start a training thread one day, and an open thread the next and you finish the training thread before the open thread, the gains you receive from training do not carry over into the open thread.

- NOTE: For role playing we use the standard 3rd person past tense format.
4. Character application and registering.
- When registering, you must first register with an OOC account. This account is to be used in all OOC areas rather than using you IC profiles. Using Probaords profile switcher, you must then make a new profile for your accepted character. The name you should use for this profile should be that of your accepted character and your avatar should also reflect their appearance.
- NOTE: To use proboards profile switcher, see the small bar to the bottom right of the screen. there is a picture of two people, click that, log in, and then you should be able to create a new profile linked to this site. Use this button to switch between profiles. If you need any more help, simply google "proboards profile switcher."
- Here at Ichi, we do not accept canons from the show. All canons are plot driving NPC's and are played by Staff or chosen Members trusted to do the job.
- NOTE: This is a Dragon Ball era RPG, not Z. During this era all characters start with a PL that revolves around the numbers 100-200 unless requested to be less or otherwise by the applicant. Depending on the variables above, you could be slightly under or over. No one starts over powered, not even the staff. Starting PL rates will be amended in the future in accordance with the current situation.
B) NPC's.
- This site is set in an Alternate Dragon Ball Universe which means that NPC's will not necessarily be played in the same way the show depicts them. Lets say for instance that in this universe, Goku never got that bump on the head as a kid and grew up evil rather than good. See what I mean? I'm sure you're seeing why this could be fun...
- Here at Ichi, we want to see creativity and originality, so we're strictly an OC board. The simple reason is only to promote diversity in the RP.
5. Character Limit.
Here we have a limit of 4 Characters per player. If anyone would like a 5th character they must contact staff and we can negotiate the terms and conditions for such a thing. There are however, limitations to when you can access having extra characters.
- To be eligible for a 2nd character, you must reach up to 200 posts with your first character, and remain active with it.(Unless your first is dead, or scrapped. In which case this would be your first and only character and the process would reset.)
- To be eligible for a 3rd character, you must reach up to 200 posts with your second character, and still be active with your first and second.
- To be eligible for a 4th character you must reach 200 posts with your 3rd and still be active with all three previous characters.
- To scrap a character you either no longer use or if you wish to start over again, contact one of the staff in so that we may scrap it for you. We don't really want to have to do this often, so choose your characters wisely. This option is not a commodity.
6. Profanity, sex and all that kind of junk.
- Because of the adult themes this site is 16 plus.
- Around here we're pretty liberal and don't mind swearing to any excess or lewd jokes, etc. Just make sure you're not being blatantly offensive. Anything deemed inappropriate will get you warned or thrown out.
- Extreme violence is allowed IC, as well as taboo subjects within conversation. The only thing we will not tolerate is outright sex in RP threads. This is a DB/Z RP, not a fine institution like a whorehouse, so save it. We allow romance and vague sexual references are fine as well, but keep the real deal fade to black.
- When it comes to rape, it is allowed to say that it took place but explicit details are not.
- The reason for the sex rule is because younger players could get mixed up in the site and it looks strange if say a player in their 20's is sexually grooming a player in their early teen's, feel me? We'd rather avoid that situation. Anyone caught breaking the sex rule will be banned.

- When making a thread it's important that other players know what function your thread has. Below is a simple legend that outlines some basic abbreviations that should be added in brackets after your threads title.

CST (Closed Sparring Thread)
STT (Solo Training Thread)
CTTT (Created Technique training thread)

8.Activity.
- Be as active as you like, we all know RL happens. One thing we do like here though is some good ol' activity, especially in the RP section. Here you can train alone, with friends, go on quests, hang out - just about anything you can think of.
- In regular RP's if a person does not get back to you for over 4 days or disappears (as many people do) then you can conclude the thread and collect the PL gains.
- In a tournament the same rules apply, if you're gone with no word for 4 days, you lose the bout and the active member gets the PL gains and the advancement in the tournament.
- If you will be unable to post for more than four days, let us know in the Turtle Beach section and for approximately how long so your active threads won't be closed.
